Can I build this house from this plan?
Our plans include all of the information you need to construct your home. However, you must contact your local building department for a full checklist of all requirements for a building permit. The plans on this website do not include a site plan, septic design or engineering designs geared towards specific weather, soil or seismic conditions.
What is your return/ exchange policy?
All purchases of chattel house plans from Chattel Houses are final. There will be no refunds or exchanges issued once your order has been placed. If you have questions about the plans before purchasing, please contact us using the Contact form.
What does total square footage refer to?
The total square footage of a house plan refers to the total of the exterior face of the home. It includes bonus rooms, closets and attached porches and decks.
Do the chattel house plans come with architectural and engineering seals?
No. Architectural and engineering seals are not included with the chattel house plans on this website. Some countries require a licensed architect or engineer to affix a seal to the blueprints. Before applying for a building permit or the start of actual construction, we strongly advise that you consult your local building department who can tell you if such a review is required.
What is included in your plan package?
Each plan package is unique, but all chattel house plans purchased from the Chattel Houses website contain a front perspective; foundation plan; plumbing plan; electrical plan; heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) plan; interior elevations; exterior elevations; floor plans, cross sections, landscaping plan, energy guide and materials list.
Can I make my own copies of the plans?
No. All of our plans are copyrighted and not reproducible unless we authorise it. Copies can only be made via special request and an additional fee will be charged.
